Visit Sol at the 2019 Texas Recreation and Parks Society (TRAPS) Expo, held this year at the El Paso Convention Center in El Paso, Texas. While solar lighting is a sustainable solution for enhancing park usage, it can also help cities meet renewable energy goals, which was one of the motivations for the City of San Jose to add our flagship product, the EverGen M Series, to Chris Hotts Park. Visit us at booth 510 to learn more about the community benefits of solar lights.
The TRAPS theme this year is “Discover New Horizons” to commemorate El Paso’s Franklin Mountains, encouraging attendees to explore the city’s unique geography. “The abundance of natural resources in our area offers a number of hiking and biking opportunities, creating memorable outdoor adventures,” says Dee Margo, the mayor of El Paso. Attendees can visit the expo to see a wide range of products and services from building and construction exhibitors. Meanwhile, educational seminars, sessions, and tours include “All Wheels Are Created Equal: Diversity Within Community Playspaces,” “Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design,” “Incorporating Green Infrastructure (GI) into Parks,” and more.
One way to maximize time outdoors is to add lighting to increase the hours a park can be open each day. Visit Sol’s booth to learn more about solar lighting for pathways and parks.
